  • A Malvern stone-built residence from the mid-Victorian era, with views over the Severn Valley extending 30 miles towards the Cotswolds, Cheltenham and Gloucestershire.
  • The house features attractive cornices, fireplaces, staircase, ocre floor tiles in the porch and beautiful arches.
  • It started as a Victorian bakery; original ovens still in the cellars! It was a chemist, a clothes shop, and for 24 years until 2002 was a Michelin-starred restaurant, "Croque-en-Bouche" (gastronomically famous).
  • The house has half an acre of garden, of which a third is vegetables and herbs. Guests are welcome to wander.
  • Two fine double/twin  guest rooms with ensuite facilities.
From £65 per room per night (from £45 single occupancy).
  • Lovely guests’ sitting-room and breakfast room.
  • Sitting on the side of the Malvern Hills, there are magnificent walking paths, starting only a couple of minutes from the door. You can take in the panoramic views to the Black Mountains or across the Severn Valley. What a vista! You can see why Elgar was so inspired.
  • Easy access. Near Worcester. Not far from Cheltenham. Two miles South of Great Malvern on the A449. Malvern has its own mainline railway station. See the map.
  • Three minutes from the Three Counties Showground, where Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire meet. Masses of shows including RHS Spring and Autumn shows. Twenty minutes from Cheltenham Racecourse.
